    Avoiding Common Errors:

  • Don't use small gold safety pins or straight pins.

  • Use only 3x5 index cards (no paper or other size cards).

  • Pin pants securely and high on hanger to avoid sliding on hanger.  Be sure to hook the hanger in the safety pin.  Don't place pants on toddler pants hanger.

  • With clothing sets, pin the bottom behind the shirt on the hanger. Don't put bottoms under the shirt, and be sure to hook the hanger in the safety pin.

  • For items in Ziploc bags, don't put 3x5 cards inside the Ziploc bags; they must be removed to be sold. Pin or tape the card to the outside of the bag, so that it can be removed when the item is sold.

  • Please use clear mailing tape only; do not use Scotch Tape.

  • For larger items and those with multiple pieces, be sure to label  each item in at least two places with a small strip of masking tape.  Write your consignor number (including the letters) and the item price on the tape.  It will help identify the item in case the card becomes separated from the item.  Use only one 3x5 price card per item or set of items.

  • Place a small strip of masking tape on the bottom of each shoe. Write your consignor number (including the letters) and the item price on the tape. This will help to identify the item in case the card becomes separated from the item.  Also attach the price card to the shoe with a large safety pin, string or ribbon.

    Shopping Tips

  • When you come to shop, use a waist pack instead of a purse or backpack. It's less to carry, and you don't have to worry about setting it down.

  • Write a list of your child's measurements, and bring a tape measure with you to measure the items.

  • Trace your child's foot on a sturdy piece of paper or thin cardboard to put inside shoes to see if they fit.

  • You may bring a small box or basket (e.g., laundry basket) with you to carry your items at the sale.

  • Strollers, wagons or rolling racks are not allowed into the Worker's Sale or the Consignors' Pre-sale
