How to Participate: Tagging Instructions

Every item sold must be properly labeled with a 3x5 index card. Cards must be attached with medium or large safety pins (no straight pins or small size safety pins accepted!) on the right front of the garment. Fill out each card in the following manner (example included below):

  1. Place card in the vertical position

  2. Leave the top 1/3 of the card blank, except for a price

  3. Consignor number and your initials and  in the upper left (see note)

  4. Size in the upper right

  5. Description of item in the center

  6. Barcode label on the lower left (received at early barcode pickup)

  7. Price on the top left and bottom right corners (no dollar sign ($) and no cents)

  8. Place ND next to price if you do not want the item to be half price on Saturday. IMPORTANT: ND means "no discount". You must put ND to guarantee your item will not be sold 25% off on Friday or 50% off on Saturday.

 

 

   

 Also, please abide by the following rules:

  • Do not use cards with old barcodes, please make new cards.  You will be assigned new barcodes and a new consignor number at each sale.

  • Please do not bring any Spring and Summer items to this sale. This sale is Fall and Winter sale only.  No  Spring and Summer clothing or fabrics will be accepted.

  • No stained or torn clothing (all stained clothing will be sent back home).  Please be very selective in the clothing toys and items you bring to the sale.  Current clothing styles only,  We are looking for high quality items. Please save other items for garage sales or donations.

  • Closely assess each item for current style, stains, holes, worn knees, tears, missing buttons, broken zippers, etc.   No toys or games with missing pieces.  We will not accept these items.  They will be sent back home with you. 

  • We will only accept infant sleepers that are high quality, or very good condition 100% cotton.

  • We no longer accept car seats, maternity clothes, or stuffed animals (Beanie Babies are accepted)

  • We will not accept clothing that smells of smoke.

  • We will not accept children’s underwear or training pants.

  • All clothes need to be in good condition, clean, pressed and on hangers facing left. Presentation is important. 

  • REMEMBER: Minimum price for any item will be 3 dollars (no cents). You may sell shirts and pants together as a set. Safety pin hangers or clothing together. Do not group like items (ex. 4 shirts).

  • Competitively price your own items (no cents please). PRICE TO SELL!   What would you pay?  We suggest no more than 1/3 of the original price, depending on name brand and condition.

  • Tie or pin shoes laces together. Do not use Ziploc bags or shoeboxes for shoes. Buckle straps together or use rubber bands on loafer type shoes.   Securely attach price card to shoes with a large safety pin, string or ribbon.  You must include a price card with each pair of shoes

  • Place masking tape with participant # and price on the bottom of each shoe and on all large items (furniture, large toys, etc). This helps identify your item in case the card is lost.
